Dev Jannz - New Republic Jedi Master and Transport Pilot
"Dev Jannz is a Jedi Master/Ace and Captain of the Wildest Dream, a modified Mark 1 Bulk Transport."
Description: I envision him as a tall, athletically built human in his 40's with long black hair and blue eyes. Think a less scruffied up version of Aragorn from the LOTR movies.
Clothing: He dresses like a typical Transport Pilot, black or brown pants, boots, shirt, vest or long coat. He carries both his lightsaber and a Heavy Blaster pistol on his belt.
He is one of the first Star Wars characters I ever made for the D6 system and I recreated him for the D20 when I first got it.

Here is the complete backstory for him. I mainly use him as an NPC these days.
Dev Jannz is the son of Deck Jannz, a Jedi Knight from the planet Chandrilla. During the Jedi Purge, Deck was, with the help of some friends like Mon Mothma, able to alter official records so that he was effectively hidden from the Emperor's agents. While in seclusion Deck met and fell in love with a woman named Mora and soon after they were married and had a son, Dev. Deck and his new family were able to live quietly for 7 years, during which time Deck began teaching his son some of the basic theories about the Force. He sensed in his son the potential to be a great Jedi. All of this ended one day, about 6 years before the destruction of Alderaan, when Imperial Agents, who alerted Darth Vader to their whereabouts, discovered them. 7-year old Dev cried as he watched from an overhead window as his father battled the Dark Lord of the Sith in a vicious lightsaber duel. As he and his mother ran to their spacecraft, Dev felt a chill and then came the knowledge that his father had died, buying time for his family to escape with his life.
Dev and his mother spent the next few months wandering from place to place and eventually wound up in the Corporate Sector. Mora raised Dev as best she could, all the while keeping his Jedi potential a secret, for fear that they might one day be discovered. She told Dev to never use any of the things that his father taught him in the presence of others. Mora, who was an excellent pilot, spent the next 7 years working as a Transport Pilot, wandering from job to job trying to make a living. Dev was also on his way to becoming a good pilot, thanks to his mother's instruction and had all but abandoned using any of his Force skills. One day there was an accident at the spaceport and Dev was forced to use his abilities to save himself and others. When this incident came to the attention of an Imperial Inquisitor, Dev and Mora were forced to flee once again. Mora convinced Dev to take a separate ship than she was, so that she might draw the Imperials away from him, and thus they became separated for many years.
Dev eventually made it to the world of Arkania in the Outer Rim and found work on an ore freighter. From there he moved from starport to starport for the next few years, generally keeping a fairly low profile. When Dev was 24, he was working as a transport pilot for the New Republic, when Luke Skywalker, the only remaining Jedi Master, approached him after a run to Coruscant. Luke could sense the Force potential in Dev and after testing him, asked Dev if he would like to come to the new Jedi Academy that Skywalker had established so that Dev could be trained as a Jedi. Dev thought about it for a moment and remembered the sacrifice that his father had made to help keep him alive and thought that the best way to honor that would be to take on the role his father had started to prepare him for, that of a Jedi. He took Skywalker up on the offer and after settling his affairs he journeyed to Yavin 4 to begin his new life as a Jedi.
Dev progressed quickly at the Academy and got along with most of the other students, especially Kam Solusar. Since both of them were the sons of Jedi, both felt that they had to honor and live up to the memories of their fathers. Dev helped the Academy by using his knowledge as a Transport Pilot to help locate and transport supplies for the Jedi whenever he could. Dev was away on one such supply run when Admiral Daala's forces attacked Yavin 4. He was saddened by the loss of Dorsk 81, but could see that the Jedi had come through it with a renewed sense of duty and honor.
As time went on Dev continued his progress toward becoming a Jedi Knight. 3 years after he started training at the academy he was ready for his first mission. It was then that he discovered that his mother was still alive and had been living on the planet Corellia. Dev's first mission as a Jedi was to find a way to get his mother off of Corellia. With the help of Corran Horn and Corran's grandfather Rostek, Dev was able to do accomplish this and finally get her back to Chandrilla.
Dev has spent the last 12 years honing his skills during many adventures across the New Republic and has even been in the Imperial Remnant and the Unknown Regions on a couple of occasions. He is constantly trying to live up to the example of his father and has decided that it is time to pass on what he has learned. He has recently taken on his first apprentice, a girl from Tatooine name Kammi. He is doing his best to pass on what he knows to her, but her attitude is more diplomatic in nature than his, which can cause some friendly arguments between them, but they always agree to disagree and move on.

Hello DevJannz, we understand that as a requester you'd like to see your request be taken, however bumping is frowned upon and as seen as an attempt to put yourself above others. The artists here take time out of their own lives to do pieces for people, and they take them as they feel inspired by them.
We ask all to be patient, and wait for the time when one of the wonderful artists decides they like a request. If it is never picked up then so be it, but that's the great thing about this site, it allows artists to feel free to do what they want, when they want, which gives us wonderful pieces of Star Wars art to use.
Please be patient, and don't bump.
