Member since: 2007Not to take away from Hisham's great work, but Ryavar asked me to try my hand at his namesake as a private request as a companion piece to the picture of Lasi Tanish I just completed. Based upon his description, I decided to go all out "traditional Japanese" style, with full Kimono and Hakama under his robe. I think it fits the character. I'm not sure whether or not Togorians have tails or not, but I gave him one, just in case, though I can remove it. Let me know of there are any changes needed. Since this is a companion piece to the picture of Lasi Tanish, I will be using the same background for this piece as well.
UPDATE 1: Inks are done. Let me know what you think.
UPDATE 2: The colors are done. Let me know what you think. I still don't know if Togorians are supposed to have tails or not. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. The image of a Togorian in the Ultimate Alien Anthology isn't really clear on the matter. If they don't, it would be a simple matter to erase it.
UPDATE 3: Here he is with the background. As I said, I am deliberately using the same background as I did for Lasi because this is a companion piece to that one. Let me know what you think.

Yup this fits to Lasi Tanish.
Hish - your Thing is great, but I can't use it if Tramp makes the other chars of my group to - it does not fit from the style, though I can use it to illustrate a fight I have in mind thanks to you... ;-)
Ryavar, with your approval, I would like to do the outer robe like a Haori, sleeveless, so that the sleeves of the kimono show through, to really bring out the look I'm going for. I think it would fit with the rest of his garb.
Just do as you like, if something is not as I would like, I will tell you.
Looks fine.
The kimono style clothes really look good - great idea for a jedi robe.
I thought you might like it. I'm still not sure if I should remove the tail or not.
I think they don't have tails(at least I can't find any picture of Togorians with tails). I personally think it would fit more if they would have tails, since they are so close to real big cats in appearance.
So, keep the tail or remove it? It's up to you.
More is better - so keep it. :)
I like how much the background shows the dimensions of Ryavar - compare it to Lasi Tanish and you know that a togorian is fearsome enemy.
Exactly, considering that he towers nearly a meter of height over her to begin with. I placed him in the same spot as Lasi was as well.
