I apologize for the lateness of this particular blog as personally I think this is rather important...
James Oliver Rigney Jr. (Robert Jordan to the Fantasy world) died Sunday of complications connected to his blood disease... While not surprising (he's been fighting for years now) it is disappointing to lose such a fantastic writer. I didn't know the man personally, but I'd like to think he was a great person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife (Harriet) and family. While we will never share the depth of your pain and sorrow, we carry some small portion of it ourselves.
He was in the middle of book 12 during his death, however he passed on the rest of the story before passing away. As unimportant as it is right now, we should all get to finish the series.
