Lookin' good, Casca! I had doubts if the ponytail would work, but you pulled it off nicely.
The portrait looks awesome, as well as the action pose. You captured the look and feel of the wan-shen that I had in my head and I love the "Come and get it" face.
I have seen many cathar pictured both with and without footwear, and I like the paw approach you took.
All in all, a great start. Can't wait to see more!

it's accually a martial arts slipper that allows the wearer to use thier big toe. Not comfortable at first but handy
Added come color and shadow to the portrait. The puma pic I found was a big help. but was straight on, so I turned it a bit and added a more human jaw to fit the neck better.
On taking a second look, they do look like Tabi boots (the slipper you're referring to).
The coloring looks great, as does the face. Very anxious to see the finished product.

Over a week and no updates.....
Casca, what you're doing should be against the Geneva Convention. Give me bamboo shoots, water-boarding or even that screwed up bambo tree out of the chest thing i saw on mythbusters, but don't leave me hanging on this!!!!!!!
Please note that I am making this post for a laugh effect. I have been keeping dibs on my request as well as LC's, so I know what casca is going through.
As someone who works in the medical field, I understand the need for rest and recovery after a hospital stay. And I know that this done in the time the artist can devote to the project. So I am not being pushy, just making a post to get a laugh as well as kill some time.
I look forward to seeing my request done and am more than patient enough to wait as long as needed to see it done.
